ZALORA, Asia’s top online fashion destination, is proud to celebrate five years of changing the way consumers shop for fashion in the region. Throughout the month of March, several anniversary activations will be rolled out across Asia – in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia and the Philippines.

This year, ZALORA has partnered with local tastemakers and talented creatives to launch a campaign, titled #ZALORAICONS, to commemorate this significant milestone

Starting this week, all ZALORA sites will feature influential style icons, from models and fashion editors to designers and entrepreneurs. As part of the #ZALORAICONS campaign, ZALORA has launched original video content in six countries across multiple channels, including ZALORA websites and social media platforms. The videos give viewers access to exclusive interviews with a line-up of local tastemakers, also known as ZALORAICONS. These icons share their creative inspirations and favourite fashion tips and hacks, while dressed in looks curated by ZALORA’s in-house fashion production team. Customers will be able to own the looks of the ZALORAICONS through curated shoppable content on ZALORA websites.

Philippine’s ZALORAICONS include Preview Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Isha Andaya-Valles, Metro Magazine’s Beauty Editor Kate Paras, Beauty Guru Jigs Mayuga, Fashion Show Director Robby Carmona and philanthropist Nanette Medved-Po.

The five ZALORAICONS are also part of the judging committee for the annual ZALORA Style Awards, an event which marks the grand finale of ZALORA’s fifth anniversary celebrations.

"Our annual ZALORA Style Awards recognizes the country's style icons who have helped raise the bar for the local fashion scene over the course of the past year. We hope to shed light on the vibrancy and dynamism of the local Philippine fashion scene of which we as Filipinos should be very proud."said Paulo Campos, Co-founder and CEO, ZALORA Philippines.

Launched in 2016, ZALORA Style Awards was initiated to honour and recognize local trendsetters, at the same time giving them a platform to highlight their achievements and to encourage the local community to continue pursuing their dreams in the fashion industry. Through events like this, ZALORA hopes to stimulate and support the next generation of fashion game-changers.

This year, the ZALORA Style Awards winners include celebrity Jake Ejercito for Male Style Star of the Year, TV personality Lauren Reid for Female Style Star of the Year, fashion designer Vania Romoff for Fashion Designer of the Year, Team Rain x Em for Stylist of the Year and beauty artist Mickey See for Makeup Artist of the Year.

To thank customers and followers for their continued support and include them as part of the festivities, ZALORA will be running exciting contests and giveaways across the region. Fans are encouraged to join the fifth anniversary celebrations by sharing on social media an item from ZALORA that’s considered iconic to them, tagging @ZALORAPH in each post and including the hashtag #ZALORAICONS. Participants will stand a chance to win exclusive access to the ZALORA Style Awards, a shopping spree and a specially curated surprise gift package.

The panel of judges for this year’s ZALORA Style Awards includes icons and experts in the fashion industry who carefully went through the two-phase process.

The phase one judges include ZALORA executives, composed of Co-Founder and CEO Paulo Campos, Head of Buying Gigi Mabanta, Head of Brand Development Regine King, and Head of PR Vince Flores. 

Phase two judges comprise of Preview Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Isha Andaya-Valles, Metro Magazine’s Beauty Editor Kate Paras, Beauty Guru Jigs Mayuga, Fashion Show Director Robby Carmona and philanthropist Nanette Medved-Po.

Special awards were also given away, with the Male Scene Stealer and Female Scene Stealer of the Night to be awarded by Topshop and Topman.

ZSA also sought the help of fashionistas and fans via online and mobile voting, which was opened for two weeks.
